  • Kronos Technology Consultant

    The Technical Consultant provides ongoing technical configuration, interface, reporting and other application technical tasks for Kronos Workforce Central  HRMS customers.  The Technical Consultant will be responsible for the installation/upgrade of the Kronos Product and execute with a full knowledge of all required underlying technology.   In addition they will rollout and install legislative updates and service packs.  Consultant will support, respond, troubleshoot and resolve technical issues as an active member of the Kronos Project Implementation Team.

    Technical Consultant must demonstrate excellent teamwork and communication skills.  Be able to operate with comfort in the latest Microsoft platforms and be capable of interfacing with MIS staff on assigned accounts.  If required, resources will be expected to work nonstandard hours in support of project deadlines/go-lives.

    The Technical Consultant:

    • Installs, tests, documents and troubleshoots Workforce Central HRMS software installations
    • Deliver on-going technical support offerings to Workforce Central HRMS customers requiring such support
    • Support complex technology environments requiring a multi-product Kronos Solution (HR, Time & Attendance and Payroll, for example), as well as product integration and/or custom solutions.
    • Deliver SQL relational database management services.
    • Demonstrate working knowledge of SQL scripting and experience with client/server and/or web based technologies (http, html, xml, Java, JBoss).
    • Provides remote and onsite services as required
    • Delivers technical application of service packs and upgrades
    • Communicates effectively to both technical and non-technical individuals at various levels of customer organization, as well as internally
    • Uses consultative techniques and skills in their consulting services delivery
    • Active member of Kronos implementation teams providing technical expertise and support
    • Demonstrate a technical understanding of operating systems, networking technologies, software applications and communication protocols.  Devices including routers, switches, and firewalls.
    • Document complex technical cases and communicate requirements both verbally and in writing.

    To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.  The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skills and/or ability required.

    • Must have at least 5 years working experience with the below mentioned technologies.
    • BS/BA degree or equivalent in Information Technology or equivalent experience.
    • Installation, configuration and maintenance of SQL relational databases
    • Direct experience in implementing web-based technologies
    • Sound knowledge of PC operating systems
    • Experience utilizing PC application software (MS Office)
    • Ability to install, configure and troubleshoot IIS, Apache.
    • VMware
    • Sound analytical and organization skills
    • Excellent oral/written communication skills

    Following skills a plus:

    • Experience installing/supporting Kronos applications, HRMS Full Suite Solutions
    • Experience with Crystal Reports/RDL or similar reporting packages
    • Solid knowledge of Connect / Workforce Integration Manager or other interface technologies
    • Knowledge of WAN and LAN network architecture, potential issues, and troubleshooting tools and techniques
    • Disaster Recovery Planning
