Backend Web Developer

Position Summary

MM Hayes is an industry leader in workplace cashless payment and point of sale solutions throughout the United States. MM Hayes seeks highly motivated individuals who are interested in a web and/or Point of Sale (POS) software backend development position. The successful candidate will be a developer who has strong Java, C#, and/or API skills.

The Backend Web Developer is expected to have the required technical skills and experience as well as the ability to learn and become productive in new programming languages and technologies. The Backend Web Developer reports to the Development Manager and will participate in both the design and development of Quickcharge software.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to a robust home grown software using the latest Java and API technologies
• Work independently and as part of a team to develop an enterprise software
• Work seamlessly with QA team and other development teams
• Exhibit strong initiative, leadership, and accountability on all projects

Qualifications

• BS in Computer Science or equivalent
• 3+ years of Java experience
• 3+ years of SQL experience (T-SQL preferred)

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with POS and/or Inventory Control systems
• Experience with Java Servlets
• Experience creating RESTful APIs (preferably in Java)
• Experience with SCRUM/AGILE
• Experience with Java Frameworks such as Spring, Play, Hibernate, Maven, etc.
