Java Free and Cloud Ready: MM Hayes Announces Quickcharge 8 Release

July 7th, 2015 at 9:05 am

ALBANY, N.Y.–M.M. Hayes Co., Inc., a leading provider of cashless payment technology for the workplace, unveiled a groundbreaking version of its Quickcharge software solution. Quickcharge 8 delivers an enhanced user experience through its Java-free application and expanded deployment options in the cloud. Other notable features include a redesigned UI, enhancements to the employee self-service portal, streamlined interface handling, and expanded POS integration capabilities.

MM Hayes first introduced Quickcharge in 1999 to help organizations automate the payroll deduction process by allowing employees to use existing ID badges to make cash-free purchases in cafeterias, gift shops, and other corporate retail locations. Demand for Quickcharge has grown dramatically with the rise of cashless payment, with more than 500 organizations currently utilizing the solution. Quickcharge provides an unparalleled cashless payment experience that delivers convenience for employers and employees alike.

The most anticipated feature in version 8 is the Java-free client application. Quickcharge 8 eliminates all JRE version compatibility issues and removes the need for IT teams to manage the frequent Java security updates. Equally anticipated is the expanded cloud deployment option allowing organizations to enjoy the many benefits cloud based solutions offer.

“We are thrilled to announce a Java-free version of Quickcharge with this major release,” said David Hayes, Vice President of MM Hayes. “For years, Java security updates have been a longstanding source of frustration for both end users and technology professionals. We listened to our customers and through significant investment and engineering we removed that frustration with Quickcharge 8.”

Quickcharge version 8 presents improved features that benefit managers and employees alike. With more access to easily see balances and transactions in the self-service portal, employees can track their payroll-deducted spending in real time. Managers have more options for reporting within Quickcharge, including accessing up to a year’s worth of real-time transactions, payments, and deductions.

Quickcharge 8 features include:

  • A Java-free web application
  • Cloud and hosted deployment options
  • Enhanced session handling and file download security
  • Innovative look and feel for an improved user experience
  • Step-by-step guidance for running reports, managing payroll, and more
